Over more than 45 years, Knight Asphalte has continuously developed and adjusted towards the needs of main contractors operating throughout the UK today. Specialising in the design and installation of mastic asphalt, hot melt rubber and felt roofing systems, Knight Asphalte can also offer developers, architects, local authorities and consultants complete flat roofing solutions to meet their requirements.
Knight Asphalte has a wealth of in-house experience in installing polymer modified mastic asphalt, hot melt rubber, built up felt roofing systems and all types of green and biodiverse roofs.
We are certified by Alcumus ISOQAR for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 including SSIP standards and are approved installers of Iko, Bauder, Alumasc, Radmat and other leading flat roofing and waterproofing systems.
Knight Asphalte hold Constructionline Gold status and are verified by RISQS and FORS. Additionally we are members of the Mastic Asphalt Council, the Builder’s Profile and the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

Design
Knight Asphalte can provide a full design service. We have a wealth of in- house experience to develop solutions to our customer's needs.
Our design service will consider lifespan, sound, thermal, structural and cost requirements. Following a comprehensive review of the products available, we will recommend the most appropriate solutions.
With our flexible approach, we can provide advice, a specification or Autocad drawings.

Knight Asphalte provide a comprehensive commercial estimating service for any size work, ranging from £1,000 to over £1,000,000.

We work from bills of quantities, tender drawings and manufacturers specifications.

Project Management
We can offer a full project management service to all our customers. Our team of experienced contract managers will ensure that all works are carried out to our customer's requirements and conform to quality and health & safety standards.
Site inspections, risks assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, quality plans and health & safety training are carried out in line with our Business Management System.
Maintenance
The timely targeted maintenance of flat roofs is often overlooked but highly recommended. Planned maintenance can often save significant sums by avoiding or delaying capital expenditure.
By providing expert advice, we can prioritise expenditure to correct faults whilst avoiding wasted costs. This approach gives savings in whole life costings and can reduce the environment impact of the works.
OUR SERVICES
Hot Melt Waterproofing
Hot melt roofing systems, such as PermaTEC, Permaquik, Bakor and Hydrotech are a combination of rubberised asphalt or bitumen, applied hot with carefully selected reinforcement fabrics and protection layers to form a strong, flexible, waterproof roof membrane.
Hot waterproofing systems are particularly suited for waterproofing concrete structures, buildings and roof decks and are commonly used on many of today’s major construction projects.
Mastic Asphalt
Mastic asphalt provides a tough and durable waterproof membrane with a proven track record for durability
and is commonly used to provide waterproof and hardwearing surface to roofs, balconies, roof top car parks and service decks.
Mastic asphalt has a long history of use, is installed by skilled craftsman, it’s recyclable and Carbon Zero.
We are approved installers of all Iko products including: Permascreed, Pacopatch, Permapark, Permatrack and Roofstar.

Working with Bauder, Iko, Radmat, SIG and other manufacturers Knight Asphalte can provide a waterproofing solution for any type or size of project.
Liquid Waterproofing
Liquid waterproofing materials cure to produce a seamless waterproof roofing membrane. They are applied cold by brush, roller or spray and require no heating equipment resulting in a very safe system of application.
Many liquid waterproofing systems can be applied over existing roofing materials and are available in a variety of colours.
